Guesses used in daily wins
Delete daily statistics?
This removes the saved daily results, streak and guess distribution from this browser. It cannot be undone and does not remove records saved on other devices.
Reset unreadable daily statistics?
The saved daily statistics could not be read and have not been replaced. Resetting removes only that unreadable entry.
Five letters. Six guesses. One daily word to uncover. This free word guessing game gives you feedback after every accepted guess, so your next choice can build on what you have learned.
Make the next guess count
A letter can be in the right place, belong somewhere else, or have no unused copy left in the answer. Read the whole row before you guess again: a repeated letter needs more care than a simple yes or no.
New to this kind of puzzle? Start with how to play, including examples of repeated letters. For ideas about choosing your next word, see the strategy guide.
Finished today's puzzle? Keep playing
Practice mode lets you play more five-letter puzzles without changing your daily streak. Stay with one tricky word or start a fresh practice game when you want a new challenge.
The daily puzzle changes at midnight UTC, the same moment for everyone. That may not be midnight where you live. Daily progress and results stay in this browser, not in an online account.
Quick questions
Is there a new word every day?
Yes. The daily game uses one shared answer for each UTC date. Practice is separate from that daily puzzle.
Can I play without signing in?
Yes. No account is needed. Using a different browser or device will not bring your saved game history with you.
Where do I start if I cannot guess the word?
Look for a guess that checks a useful uncertainty: a letter you have not tried, a possible new position, or a second copy of a letter. The strategy guide explains how to choose between those options.
